Navitas Petroleum's conference room allows you to make video calls and screen sharing easily

Screen Sharing

Easily share your screen with multiple options

Sharing without an active conversation:

  1. To share a screen, do one of the following:

Click on the touch screen on the table to share content.

Wireless sharing:

  • Use your computer or phone:

  • Open the ZOOM app, select the share button and enter the share code that ZOOM displays on the TV screen or touchscreen and click OK.

  • If you don't see the sharing code on the screen, press the sharing button on the room control screen. The sharing code will appear on the control screen and on the TV.

  • Please note, the sharing code changes every few minutes.

  • For sharing during a call, you may also be asked to enter the sharing password that appears on the touch screen.

  • Connect the POD on the table to the TYPE C port on the computer, wait for the light to stop flashing and press the central button on the unit. (Subject to USB connection permissions on the computer)

Sharing via browser – for your convenience, choose one of the options:

  • Open a browser (chrome/Edge) and enter the following details in the address bar: https://station IP and click on browser sharing. When it opens, click on start sharing. In the window that opens, select what you want to share and click share.

  • Open a browser (chrome/Edge) and enter the following details in the address bar: https://share.zoom.us . Enter the meeting number and password, or the sharing key  and click share.

Share via Airplay / google cast. Make sure you are on the organization's network. And share using one of the options:

2. Screen sharing during an active ZOOM call - can be done using any of the options presented in section one.

3. Screen sharing in Teams/Google/Webex calls is active, join the call using your PC and share from there. – Make sure not to connect audio devices to your computer to prevent echo. 

Starting a New Video Call

Easy conversation initiation via management screen:

To start a new conference call on Zoom, do one of the following:

  • Click the orange New Meeting button.

  • If you have reserved the conference room in advance, by inviting a call from one of the following options: ZOOM, Google, Webex, Teams, on the control screen, the meeting will be displayed, click on the meeting and then on the JOIN button, click on the button and start the call.

  • If you did not book the room, but you have the meeting details:

  • ZOOM – Click join and enter the meeting details to join.

  • Teams/Google/WebexSelect the appropriate icon, click on it, and enter the meeting details. *Computer screen sharing in one of these options will be by connecting directly from the computer to the conversation without audio and displaying the content.

  • If you want to use your laptop as BYOD, please click the Switch to BYOD button located at the bottom of the control screen. Then connect the POD (subject to USB connection permissions to the computer). Wait for the flashing light on both buttons to finish flashing, click the large share button, click the round button to connect the camera and audio to your computer.

  • Open the video calling software you want to use on your computer, and connect to the call using it. Usually, the camera, microphone, and speakers will change automatically on your computer. If it didn't change automatically, do it manually.

Turning on the TV

In the large conference room-

Press the touch screen located on the side of the door.

In the small conference room-

Turn on the TV using the remote.

Q&A

  1. A meeting I scheduled does not appear on the appointment screen​​

We probably didn't reserve the meeting room, check that the room is reserved. Note that you can't reserve a room for two different meetings at the same time. – You can still manually join using the JOIN button for a Zoom call or any of the other buttons for Teams/Google/Webex calls.

2. There is the scheduled meeting on the invitation screen but there is no JOIN button.

Apparently, the meeting details were not entered in the room invitation. You can request to send a new invitation, or connect manually using the JOIN button for a Zoom call or any of the other buttons for Teams/Google/Webex calls.

3. I see the sharing instructions screen and not the main screen

Click on the touch screen to stop share.

4. I can't share a conversation screen when I'm connected to a Teams/Google/Webex conversation.

In Teams/Google/Webex type calls, you must connect to the call to share from your personal computer, without sound, and present directly from it into the call.

5. When sharing via browser I get a white page showing an error

Click Advanced and confirm the link that appears.

6. I connect the POD and it is not recognized by my computer and/or shows a light that is not blue.

You are probably blocked from using the USB device, use one of the other sharing options.

7. The TV is off.

Turn it on from the touch screen at the entrance to the large room, or from the remote control in the small room.

8. How do I download a recording I made?

Only the ZOOM administrator can download recordings. Contact the office administrators.

9. I hear the participants on the other side really weakly / in poor quality

If the volume is low, try increasing the volume on the touch screen. If the audio from the other user is poor, there is probably a problem with their microphone. Try connecting yourself from outside the room using another computer and see if you can be heard properly.

10. Where did the HDMI connections go in favor of sharing?

The connections for sharing are via wireless solutions displayed on the screen. We recommend connecting using the built-in ZOOM solution in the application installed on your computer or mobile phone.

11. No sound during a meeting – when I share a video

Sound must be turned on on the sharing screen on the computer. In the ZOOM app, see image

12. I tried broadcasting on airplay / google cast and I can't see the room.

Make sure no one is connected to the call via a computer or phone in the conference room. For the sake of sharing, there is no need to connect to the call.

13. There is a echo in the room that interferes with the conversation.

Make sure you are connected to the organization's network. Using guest does not allow sharing this feature.
